Description

The student will be required to consolidate all of their reception, production and interaction skills during the module. The skills listed below will receive particular attention.

To be able to :

• recognize and use generic terms such as handset, company car, shoe shop;
• advise, criticize, express regret using modals such as should, ought to, should have done, ought to have done, should not have done, ought not to have done;
• describe cause and effect relationships using words and phrases such as cause sthg, make sthg, lead to, bring about, result in, etc.;
• express prohibition, permission, choice using modals and expressions such as must, have to, shouldn't, mustn't, don't have to and words and expressions such as be allowed to, prohibit, forbid, ban ;
• describe a product and explain its operation and functionalities using words and phrases such as allow, permit, enable sbdy to, make it possible to, over sthg;
• read, listen and discuss the theme of leisure and entertainment ("Leisure and entertainment");
• communicate orally to deal with simple situations in daily life and the professional environment.

Learning Outcomes AAv (AAv)

• AAv1 [heures: 20, E1] : At the end of S1, the student will be able, without resorting to digital linguistic aid tools, to identify in detail explicit factual information on subjects of daily life orally and in writing.

• AAv2 [heures: 20, F2] : At the end of S1, the student will be able, without having to resort to digital linguistic aid tools, to express themselves in a non-complex and sufficiently detailed way. written and to explain and comment on the main points of an idea or a problem orally, on various subjects of daily life. The language used will conform to usage, without errors likely to hinder the understanding of the reader or the interlocutor.

• AAv3 [heures: 20, F2] : At the end of S1, the student will be able, without resorting to digital linguistic aid tools, to choose the appropriate expressions from a defined thematic vocabulary of daily life and to integrate them appropriately into their writing practice (comprehension and production). The appropriate expression will be one among those in use, the use of the expression will be appropriate as long as it suits the context.

Assessment methods

The evaluation is carried out by: a long continuous assessment test and the average of several short continuous assessment
