Description

This course shows you how to model a mechanical system using Catia CAD software, and how to manufacture it using Forge resources. A step-by-step discovery of Catia's functionality is offered, with numerous parts to model, assemble and draw. Through a team mini-project, students will discover how to manufacture parts they have modeled using 3D FDM printers or a laser cutter. The final objective of this course is to enable students to design and manufacture a simple mechanical system.

Learning Outcomes AAv (AAv)

  • AAv1 [heures: 15, B3, D1, D2]: The student will be able to model a part using mechanical CAD software.

  • AAv2 [heures: 10.5, B3, D1, D2]: The student will be able to model an assembly using mechanical CAD software.

  • AAv3 [heures: 10.5, F1, G2]: The student will be able to generate one or more 2D drawings using mechanical CAD software.

  • AAv4 [heures: 36, D1, B3, C2, D4]: The student will be able to create a parameterized part or assembly.

  • AAv5 [heures: 18, D1, D2, D3, D4, G2]: The student will be able to create a part or a physical assembly using one or more rapid prototyping means from the Forge (3D FDM or resin printer, laser cutter) .
