UE B: Mathematics and computer science

This unit aims to establish basic mathematical and algorithmic tools necessary for engineers to solve simple physical and computer problems. The student knows how to model and solve a simple physical problem using these mathematical concepts (trigonometry, usual functions, complex numbers, parameterized curves, limited developments, discrete probabilities, etc.). They must also be able to execute, produce and test computer algorithms that solve a given problem (using variables, conditional, iterative and function call structures), determine their results without error and be able to measure and compare their complexity in terms of calculation time.
