Inter-semesters

Inter-semesters are one-month periods between two semesters.

Inter-semester IS2 consists of a job-shadowing internship.

Inter-semesters IS1 (a and b) and IS3 (a and b) are dedicated to alternative learning experiences. As well as technical modules such as documentary research and software training, all students complete non-technical “humanist” modules. Theatre plays a major role, for instance in facilitating public speaking (first year) or in raising awareness about discrimination (improvisational theatre in 3rd year). Civic training modules that address modern-day issues around learning to live together take place alongside discovery training modules such as creating a short audio (first year) or video (third year) production. ENIB students also participate in the Petits Débrouillards science popularization project and, following the example of Charpak, make a hands-on contribution at the Brest non-profit La Caisse à Clous.
