Description

Point dynamics (statics, kinematics)

Learning Outcomes AAv (AAv)

  • AAv1 [heures: 14.5, B2, B3] (Parametrization) : Based on a given kinematic diagram, the student will be able to analyze it (explaining the various possible movements between parts). They will then be able to correctly* associate a reference frame with each kinematic sub-assembly, indicate the parameterization in the plane figures and then correctly* determine the rotation speed vectors.

  • AAv2 [heures: 30, B3] (Bilan des actions mécaniques (BAME)) : At the end of this course, students should be able to isolate a system and model each external force applied to it using a torsor. The starting point is a 2D drawing, a CAD model or a real system of a mechanism with or without friction (Coulomb).

  • AAv3 [heures: 25, B3] (BQA) : Given a parameterized system, the student will be able to correctly calculate* the velocity, acceleration and dynamic moment at any point in the system.

  • AAv4 [heures: 25, B3] (Fundamental Principle of Point Dynamics (PFD)) : correctly apply the PFD methodology to the dynamic study of a point system

Assessment methods

  • Formative assessments (orals, moodle tests)
  • Certifying assessments (one written test for each Aav; last assessment for catching up on unvalidated Aavs)

Key Words

Prerequisites

Study of S1 mechanisms, in particular:

  • The student must be able to produce a kinematic diagram of the system in compliance with the standards for the representation of elementary mechanical links.
  • The student must be able to analyze a synchronous power transmission.
