Description

This module aims to develop a sustainable scientific approach: reading with a critical eye, questioning methodology, and distinguishing between results and interpretation.

It offers an initial immersion in scientific practice, by exposing students to the heart of research work: the reading and analysis of scientific articles.

Using an article chosen from their future field or assigned by the course, students learn to identify a research question, analyse the results and situate the work within a broader bibliographical context.

This process, conducted in small groups with regular supervision, concludes with a concise oral presentation.

Plenary sessions (lectures, talks by researchers and laboratory visits) provide a practical overview of the research ecosystem: funding, commercialisation, ethics and scientific integrity.
