Description

In the first year, the Arts and Sciences Zone (formerly known as Intersemester 1) offers a collaborative experience at the intersection of the arts (theater, radio, drawing, writing), the sciences, and the sensory. Designed as a research-creation program, it invites students to compare their perspectives with those of researchers and engineers from the private sector by combining creative work with reflection on living organisms.

Learning Outcomes AAv (AAv)

  • AAv1 [heures:12, E1, E3, E4, F1, F2] (theater workshop, investigation section): At the end of this course, students will be able to produce written materials based on field research conducted outdoors, focused on a scientific and/or ecological issue.

  • AAv2 [heures: 22, E3, E4, E1, F1, F2] (theatre workshop 1): At the end of this course, students will be able to speak individually in front of a small audience a written text not previously known, while being aware of their emotions, their voice and their body in space.

  • AAv3 [heures: 9, A1, E3, E4, E1, F1, F2] (radio workshop): At the end of this course, students will be able to receive with an open mind and collect on an audio medium the point point of view of a person different from them on an imposed subject.

  • AAv4 [heures: 25, E3, E4, E1, F1, F2] (theater workshop 2): At the end of this course, students will be able to interact with numerous classmates and a large audience composed of strangers, among others, drawing in particular on the eco-poetic texts written during IS1a, to which they will give a theatrical dimension thanks to the voice and body techniques acquired previously.

  • AAv5 [heures: 10, A1, E4, E1, F1, F2] (radio potrait workshop 2): At the end of this course, students will be able to produce an audio piece that sorts and organizes the information gathered during the first two sessions, within a limited time frame.

  • AAv6 [heures: 6, G1, G3] (mural): At the end of this course, students will be able to explain the ecological and social consequences of global warming and/or the digital revolution and identify individual and collective levers for action to address these events.

  • AAv7 [heures: 3, G1, G3] (introduction to LCA): At the end of this course, based on a simple case study, students will be able to use the basic tools of life cycle analysis.

  • AAv8 [heures: 3, D1, F1] (drawing): At the end of this course, student nbs will be able to use basic drawing tools (perspective and/or colors and/or volume) to supplement the skills acquired in studying mechanisms based on other objects and according to other graphic codes.
