Description
This course is an online module on the prevention of gender-based and sexual violence in higher education.
In this online module, comprising seven chapters, gender-based and sexual violence is examined from various perspectives (sociological, criminal law, etc.) to enable you to acquire the following knowledge:
- How to define and identify gender-based and sexual violence (GBV).
- An understanding of the legal framework.
- The ability to prevent incidents of GBV in our interactions with others, through the key concept of consent.
- An understanding of certain specific aspects of GBV in higher education and research.
- Understanding the functioning and scope of reporting, support and counselling mechanisms in higher education and research institutions.
- Knowing how to react to a situation of SGBV as an active bystander.
- Identifying the challenges and levers as a prevention actor, for example as a student union.
Learning Outcomes AAv (AAv)
- AAv1 [heures: 5, G1] : By the end of the module, students will be able to define and identify gender-based and sexual violence, avoid it, and respond appropriately to situations involving such violence.
Assessment methods
Online questionnaires. The course ‘Gender-based and sexual violence: STOP!’ is passed with a minimum score of 25/31
