Description

the objective is to contextualize the resistance course of S3 materials in a design approach for a mechanical system. The engineering student is put in a situation of designing and sizing a mechanical system, based on industrial technical documentation.

  • sizing of guidance and motorization
  • verification of the safety coefficients of the main parts in terms of material resistance
  • Handwritten overall drawing of the design with nomenclature.

Learning Outcomes AAv (AAv)

  • AAv1 [heures: 10, E3, E4, E1, F1, F2] : In a given context and with a given mechanical functionality, the group must be able to report on its work

  • AAv2 [heures: 24, A1, A3, C1, C2, C3, D1, D3 ] ((Mechanical design methodology): Based on a user need, the group must be able to follow a mechanical design methodology and propose solutions to the expressed need, in particular:

    • Look for technological solutions that meet needs.
    • Analyze and criticize solutions according to criteria (technological, mechanical resistance, economic, environmental, etc.) to choose the most suitable solution.
    • Draw a freehand sketch of the technical solution associated with each function.
    • Develop the technical solution (handwritten overall drawing)
    • Size the technological elements (motors, bearings, axes)
    • Document the work carried out (assembly drawings, nomenclature, assembly range, calculation instructions)

Assessment methods

Average oral continuous assessment assessments in Lab.
